Experience a Magical Night "LOY KRATHONG FESTIVAL" at B2 HOTELS in Chiang Mai
This 13-15th November 2016, experience Thailand’s picturesque and colorful Loy Krathong Festival. Immerse yourself in the authentic Lanna Culture. Discover a spectacular night of unforgettable experiences.
Celebrated annually throughout Thailand, the Loy Krathong Festival stems from the ancient tradition of floating handmade krathong (decorated baskets) on the Mae Ping River during the night of a full moon. The purpose of Loy Krathong is to pay respects to Buddha and seek forgiveness from the goddess of water for any wrongdoing against her.
Whilst it is celebrated throughout the country, Loy Krathong is especially mesmerizing in Chiang Mai where thousands of floating lanterns fill the evening sky producing a truly enthralling effect. There is no better place to take part in this dazzling event than at The B2 Riverside Colonial Hotel, Chiang Mai, where the Mae Ping River is located right beside the hotel, a Krathong and Khom Loy (Lantern) will be provided.
