Reaffirming the dedication to being a green-hearted business, the B2 hotel chain received the Sustainable Forest Contributors Award at the “Green Life Cycle Tree Talk” event held at the U Nimman Chiang Mai 1, Nimman Convention Center on November 9, 2023. The event was organized by Kimberly Clark Professional Thailand in collaboration with the Thailand Environment Institute, aiming to promote environmental care and conservation through business practices.
Another success resulting from the commitment of B2 hotel group to implement environmentally friendly policies in their business is the use of recycled tissue paper with FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certification. This product is sourced from Kimberly-Clark, the owner of famous brands such as ‘Scott’ and ‘Kleenex’, the leading tissue paper brand in Thailand that received international standards from FSC.
This award was presented by Kimberly-Clark to honor B2 hotel group as one of the organizations that supporting environmentally friendly products, demonstrating awareness of the impact and contributing to the preservation of green forest areas in Thailand. In the past year, 2023, we have achieved significant environmental milestones, including reducing the destruction of trees by up to 202 trees/year, decreasing water consumption by 314,664 liters/year, cutting carbon dioxide emissions by 323 kilograms/year, lowering electricity consumption by 1,187,412 watts/year, minimizing chlorine consumption by 226 kilograms/year, and decreasing oil consumption by 4,488 liters/year.
In this year and in the years to come, we will continue to be a part of the conservation and sustainable management of forests by supporting the use of products that promote environmental protection and the consumption of resources at a sustainable and more efficient levels without damaging the environment.
